Another Writing Lesson: Sentence Punctuation
Apr 9th, 2007 by jeremy
I have mentioned previously that one of my reasons for publishing a blog is to improve my writing skills. I have never laid claim to being all that stupendous of a writer; but, I figure with some practice I can only improve.
I found a link on Lifehacker today to a great post on How to punctuate a sentence that I had to pass along. For some reason, when I write I often feel unsure about the right occasions to use a comma or semi-colon. In blog writing, it is often easy to get away with lazy writing styles; but that is not the point. If we are not progressing, we are doing the opposite; at least that is how I remember the phrase. There is no standing still.
So, if you would like to be sure you are using proper punctuation, check out these quick and easy-to-understand tips. Who knows, you might impress your friends and family with your new and improved writing abilities.
