Gerber Baby

This is some aged/green processed look added to a portrait taken of my little niece. When we were taking the photos I commented that I thought she had a perfect “Gerber Baby” look to her when smiled (which was often). For some reason she found me particularly funny that day, which is excellent when you are trying to capture baby pictures!
I played with settings in Lightroom to see what I could find that brought out that Gerber look.

Very engaging expression on the baby’s face. Certainly does have the Gerber Baby look. I like the effect, but I decrease the green just a bit and add a teensy bit more blue.

That’s an interesting observation Judy, and probably just as correct as mine. I toyed with the blue/green balance before I ended up where I was. For some reason I have the old green bottle label stuck in my head, even though I know there were blues as well. Just thought you should know the method to my madness
Ah yes, Jeremy, it’s really a matter of perception, isn’t it? When I recall it, I am thinking of a jar of custard. Perhaps the beige background brought out more of the blue? Or maybe my monitor needs calibration!
