Lance Lee from Stage
Oct 13th, 2008 by jeremy
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a concert shot. Since I’ve been working on by book (like crazy) from the UK tour tonight, I thought I’d pull one out to upload.
Lance is one of those guys that is just great to be on tour with. He’s so nice to everyone around him and he brings a real energy to the music. I always find guys behind a drum set the most difficult to capture from the pit, so for this I snuck on the back of the stage in all black.

Great pic Jeremy!! Gotta love Lance and his constant smile
Great photo…looking forward to the book
Jeremy you and your astute following are spot on with your observations about Lance Lee! He is truly an amazing musician. I have known him all his life. I grew up with Lance as we are very close cousins and he was ALWAYS a perfectionist about his craft growing up in New York City’s upper west side. He is so modest that you may not know that he grew up in a family of educators, artist and musicians and direct exposure to Leontyne Price, Gregory Hines, Josephine Premise, Roz Ryan, Sherman Hemsley, Phyllis Hyman, and parents Roy Lee a musician and Ellen Ellis Lee and Broadway Designer, jewelry designer and dollmaker. He and his family made it possible for me to graduate from Vassar College leading me to atend law school and to ascend to become a Circuit Court Judge. Thank you Lance for the music!
He is someone you should know America. Perhaps, I am biased, but yes, I said it!
