Kimberly - unfortunately how well your photos look at high ISO is a function of the capability of your camera. I have a Canon 5D Mark II that does produces very acceptable results at up to 3200 ISO, which is a huge advantage in situations like this. The best thing you can do is test out your camera and see how well it does at various ISO settings in the lighting conditions you will be using it in. Take a test shot at different various ISOs, then look on the back of your camera at the result, but zoom in all the way on the image to see it at 100%. If the results are too grainy, then you will need to fall back to using a flash to illuminate your scene.

I am so impressed with the lowlight images. I try to up my ISO and get grainy images. How can I remedy this? I am a somewhat new photographer, but really want to improve my shots!

These pictures turned out great. I am very impressed with the low light capabilities of the 5DMII. I've pushed mine to the upper limits and love the quality I'm getting. Paired with the right lens this camera is amazing.
