McKown Family
Nov 12th, 2009 by jeremy

I have to admit when I find a location I like I have a tendency to come right back to it with future shoots to take advantage of the current setting. This was true with the McKown’s, neighbors of mine I was excited to have the opportunity to take photos for.
Just the day before I had taken photos for the Madsen family, using a beautiful old barn & field right behind their house. I asked and received permission to use the location for a shoot the following day, which worked out to be a blessing because we needed to reshoot with the Madsens due to some sick little boys (as in with colds) that just were not into taking photos that day. I was thrilled that it all worked out so well and we were able to get their reshoot in just before taking the McKown’s family photos.
Here are a few previews to show how this beautiful little family’s photos turned out.

For this photo I joked with my assistant (and sister-in-law) Kelly that I was channeling my “inner Suzanne.” She did this kind of set up with my family photos this year – which we loved – so I reused the idea here.

Great location Jeremy. It’s always good to stick with something that works. Plus you already know what to expect and not have to scout the place before the shoot.
What a wonderful location and beautiful series!
You are too funny! I just hope that is the only situation you channel your “inner Suzanne”!! Great pictures, love the location.
