Natures Best
Aug 31st, 2007 by LeiGul
Every year we take a family vacation of two. This year we decided to do something different. We decided instead of traveling to some vacation spot and bunk it in a hotel we would see what our own area had to offer. We took day trips each day of vacation. Fortunately we live within a few hours of Yellowstone National Park, Jackson WY, and many other truly amazing places.
On the particular day I would like to focus on we decided to go hiking. We went up the the Great Mesa Falls. This was the first time we had been up there and was amazed by what we saw. This place was just beautiful. There are two waterfalls and because of the spray the North end of the Mountain has a Climate within a climate. The humidity of the spray allows plants to grow there that otherwise would not survive in the harsh Idaho Climate. It was truly amazing.
We are so glad that we chose to vacation at home. We didn’t have to pay for hotels and we got to see some of the most beautiful scenery that Mother Nature has to offer!

Wow that picture is breathtaking! Idaho does have some amazing scenery, I wish we had visited Great Mesa Falls while we lived there.
What a beautiful shot, but it would have been better if you were in it.
I thought nature’s best was Donny?
