Pump It Up!

On the recent concert where I was positioned back stage to capture the big finale with the audience in the background, I happened to be in the right place to catch this shot. Donny jumped on the piano and charged up the band for the big finish to the song.
This was actually a tough shot to get because he was so strongly back lit and here I was without a flash. Fortunately a bright scene flashed on the huge LCD screen behind me, illuminating Donny for my shot.

)……the look on his face………his stance……….you have captured everything a fan would really want to see…. and I had to laugh at how he is holding his left hand…I am sure he wasnt really being rude to Steve the drummer on his left side. LOLOL!

Fantastic capture Jeremy, You can so hear him shouting encouragement from that shot, and how thoughtful of Mr Osmond to position his body right in front of that huge spotlight glowing behind him! (or were you shuffling around in front of him trying to avoid it?)
I love the back lit effect and this shot proves that the best ones aren’t always captured using a flash! We all need to take more risks!
I echo Sues’ sentiments about the copyright , you need to protect those ‘money shots’!

My heart is still very weak after having met the Osmonds a couple of weeks ago (I did remember to tell you didn’t I? ha ha!) but wow. I mean WOW! How great is that? He looks like he is saying “bring it on!” Jeremy is a truly wonderful photographer but I do hope he has now got to grips with who is who, although I can understand why it must be confusing! Of course, EVERYONE knows Donny! Thanks Sue x
