Quote: Home Priorities

“No other success can compensate for failure in the home.”
David O. McKay
Keeping with the theme today of the importance of spending time where it matters most, I thought I would share another quote from a religious leader that is often quoted. This one in particular falls under the “no truer words have been said” category.
Though the importance of focusing our time on our families is seemingly an obvious one, I also feel like we need to remember to be sensitive to those that have broken families for all the variety of reasons those things take place. Problems and mistakes in the past, whomever was at fault, should never keep us from trying to improve upon our situations from the point we are at and moving forward. Success in the home can be achieved at working whatever level we are at and making it better.
Looking at my little family, I am constantly reminded that they are what matters most. I work hard and often long hours at my many endeavors, both to be the financial supporter of the family and at my interests. But, at the end of the day it is the time spent with these kids of mine that has an impact and is remembered. Keep your priorities straight, and spend your time wisely.
