Sneaking Away

A Private Moment
Sneaking out of the reception for a moment, bride and groom stole a private moment. Leave it to me to make that moment not so private anymore! Ok, I confess they knew I was there. In fact, this ended up being one of the brides favorite photos of the night. I guess this photo could be a couple at any time, but this was actually just their reception started, after a couple of hours helping with the set up. They were exhausted already and needed a moment to regroup before greeting family and friends for the next three hours.
I can remember my reception and having similar feelings. I was ready to take off from the moment it started. It was a great event, I was just tired and ready to be off with my happy new bride enjoying our honeymoon. We start learning patience right from the beginning, don’t we?

Love the shot! I notice you used an IS lens. Was this shot hand held? When I am doing this shot, I usually get a little more pink in the sky because around here the weddings are often at vineyards and we want to capture some of the grape vines. But, the deep blue of the darkening sky is just gorgeous!
Judy, yes this was hand held. I had wished there were some clouds for texture and reflection in the sky, but I was happy how it turned out.
I like this shot a lot. It really leads the viewer to believe that you were in ultimate stealth mode. The silhouettes also open it up to viewer personalization. If it were not for the definitely outline of hair on the mans head, I might think this was my wife and I on our wedding night.
What I noticed right away was that from their chins to their chests, the opening forms a rather lovely abstract heart…..how fitting. This is a beautiful photo. Well done Jeremy!
Barbie - isn’t it funny how that is a nature occurrence between couples kissing? I had wished it was a bit more prominent in this shot, but I wasn’t going to interrupt them to change the pose
Beautiful!! I can see why it was one of the brides’s favorites. It’s soo romantic and timeless.
